
Bill Roberts
Bill started in the
broadcast industry in 1971 at WFIS in Simpsonville, SC. From there
he partnered up with his boss to buy WCKM Radio in Winnsboro, SC. After
a stint there, he came back to Virginia
Radio, working in the Shenandoah Valley: Roanoke, Lexington and
Harrisonburg. In 1984 he moved to Leesburg as Sales Manger of WAGE Radio
and then to Washington, DC to the Westwood One Radio Networks. As a
Regional manager for broadcast syndication, he worked with Larry King,
Pat Buchanan, Sugar Ray Leonard, Casey Kasem, and other broadcast
notables. In 1997 he moved back to the Richmond area and bought WHAN
Radio.
Bill is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Richmond in the
School for Contuinuing Studies, Assistant Professor at South University, and an Instructor at Randolph Macon College. He is married, has two
daughters and three grandchildren. |
